It happens to all of us one time or another. Male, female, professional or amateur... we've all landed flat on our butts mid-jive once before. Some dancers can make it look like choreography unless of course you're me... and your concentration is standard. There's no way you're covering up that one up!
Anyway so you're at a competition... you're kicking ass and chewing bubble gum, but you're all out of gum... and then you fall. All you want to do is crawl under the nearest table, and hope the judges forgot you were there. Most people will tell you to get up and finish what you started, and that's great advice. But here is where I have the problem. Most people will also tell you to suck it up and get past that last thirty seconds of your quickstep... don't worry you'll get 'em next time.
No! You get up and not only finish that dance... you finish that dance and kick ass doing it. The only way to get up after you've fallen is to pick yourself up and finish that dance ten times stronger than you did when you started.
From the moment you wake up in the morning, you have the power to change the world. I truly believe that. I feel it is our responsibility to change the world for the better. Our younger counterparts rely on that. Be the person you would want your younger self to look up to. Not someone who just get through life, but someone who pushes themselves into their best selves.
